We just finished our short documentary
about this year’s InnoEnergy MSc Renewable Energies Innovation Seminar at the LOW3
Living Lab.
46 students from 8 countries assisted
to this year’s edition of the Seminar and enjoyed two full days of prototype
exploration, technology analysis and forecasting, energy transition planning,
and sustainable lifestyle options. Methodologies like Roadmapping, Complexity
Maps and Story Telling have been applied in order to facilitate to the
assisting young renewable energy engineers a holistic and transdisciplinary
approach to sustainability in the fields of Housing, Energy and Lifestyle.
The facilities of the Living Lab, and
its unique character as prototype of a Zero Energy Building allowed students
getting into serious technological discussions, but also developing their
creativity beyond their disciplinary boundaries, co-creating with their
colleagues Holistic Sustainable Urban Lifestyle Scenarios 2030, based on
technology developments, but also new organizational structures as well as
personal behavioural changes.
Online questionnaires and personal testimonies
of the participants showed an overall very positive evaluation of the seminar by
students. For 2019 the participation of over 50 MSc RENE students is already in
preparation.
