First year students visited the LOW3 Living Lab during their first day of Architectural Studies at ETSAV. Introduction in sustainable housing and construction as well as the possibility to participate already as a student in real building projects like the Solar Decathlon houses at ETSAV, have been the important messages for them.
The visit was held together with their teachers of “Basic of Technology”, Enrique Corbat and Isabel Vega, together with the director of the LOW3 Living Lab Torsten Masseck.
In his role as Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Prof. Masseck introduced students already during their welcome session in the morning into decarbonization, efficiency and circular economy as main challenges of the building sector.
With these important inputs, the first day of their studies, our new ETSAV students will hopefully stay curious and demanding regarding a new way of doing architecture, evolving step by step to “game changers” of our profession.
